County Road 280B Water and Sewer Expansion

Description

The City of DeFuniak Springs County Road (CR) 280B Water and Sewer Expansion project would provide water and wastewater infrastructure to serve the initial development of Veteran’s Lodge and allow for future expansion as development comes into the City along the CR 280B Connector Road. Funds would be spent to provide a 4,000 linear foot (LF) expansion of 4” wastewater force main and 3,000 LF expansion of 12” watermain along CR 280B. This project would help accommodate growth in the area. This includes survey, design, permitting, construction and inspection to ensure the utility expansions are installed to federal, state and local standards.

Funding

Total project cost is $795,925.  This project was submitted to the legislature for funding and is currently funded in the amount of $500,000 through the Senate and House. Additional funds are needed to complete the project. The Rural Infrastructure Fund (RIF) grant cycle opens July 1st and Dewberry is currently working on an application to the RIF to match the funds provided by the legislature.
