Parks Master Plan

The City of DeFuniak Springs, FL does not have a master plan for enhancing its parks.  The City Beautification and Tree Board members are now moving forward with developing a draft plan for city council's approval.  The process for adopting this plan may take up to a year.

In July, 2021, the City received notice from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity that it is awarded a $50,000 grant to complete a parks master plan which the DeFuniak Springs Beautification and Tree Board will oversee once a contract from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is received.

To provide input on the parks master plan project, please attend Beautification and Tree Board meetings the first Thursday of every month, 4pm, in City Council Chambers, 71 U.S. Highway 90 West, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
