Detectives and Investigators have identified the victim that was found with a laceration on Saturday. 30 year old Latasha Nicole Prim of Pensacola was positively identified and her family was notified Tuesday evening. A person of interest has been identified and leads are being pursued to tie the person of interest to the crime. Additional information will be released as the investigation continues. DeFuniak Springs Police, DeFuniak Springs Fire, and Walton Fire Rescue responded to Mt. Nebo Baptist Church at approximately 1:10 p.m. Saturday in reference to a deceased female. A church member spotted the body near a picnic table in the back yard of the church. Detectives and Officers responded and began investigating. The female was lying in a pool of blood with blood on her hands and clothing. Walton County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, State Attorney's Office, and the Medical Examiner's Office responded to assist in the investigation.
