Crime Stoppers of Walton County, Inc. is asking for the public’s assistance in helping solve a recent theft of a newspaper vending machine in the DeFuniak Springs area.
Between June 22nd 2011 and June 29th 2011, a DeFuniak Herald / Beach Breeze Newspaper Vending Machine was reported stolen from the area of West Highway 90 and South 20th Street. The machine is coin operated and is believed to have contained coins and newspapers.
Most recently, sometime between June 29th 2011 and July 4th 2011, a second DeFuniak Herald / Beach Breeze Newspaper Vending Machine was reported stolen. This incident is reported to have occurred near the same location as the original incident around West Highway 90 and South 20th Street.
Neither of the two stolen units have been located or recovered at this time.
