Severe Weather

[ARCHIVED] Severe Weather Scheduled for 04/5-04/6

0405

0405squall line0406Severe weather is expected across the area on Tuesday and then again into Wednesday. While the greatest probabilities are across our AL/GA counties those in FL should NOT let their guard down. There still exists uncertainty where the squall line will traverse and a further south track is still possible. Wednesday's severe weather outlook is a little more uncertain and will be highly dependent on the evolution of Tuesdays severe weather. However, at this time, there is a possibility for scattered severe storms through the late morning and into the evening. In addition to the severe threat, there is a potential for heavy rain with these storms. Of particular concern is the potential of the line stalling across the area. Widespread rain of 2-3 inches is forecast but isolated locations could see rainfall totals of 4-6 inches.
