The City of Defuniak Springs City Council held a special meeting this evening to discuss the expansion and future growth of the DeFuniak Springs Airport
With a proactive mindset, Councilmen Todd Bierbaum, Kevin Crystal, Henry Ennis, and Tony Vallee; Mayor Bob Campbell; City Manager Robert Thompson; City Attorney Clay Adkinson; and Airport Director Dan Edwards met to discuss strategies and best practices.
Councilman Bierbaum proposed a mission statement for the Airport that was readily accepted and adopted by the voting members:  “To be the premier general aviation airport on the Emerald Coast and the gateway airport to the beaches of South Walton.
Jennifer Green and Tim Parson of Liberty Partners of Tallahassee, LLC and John Collins of AVCON, INC. Planners and Engineers presented several options for the City to consider for existing and incoming resources.
We’re grateful for the team effort and the support of our community stakeholders.
