[ARCHIVED] VEHICLE CRASHES INTO HOME AND ROLLS OVER

On December 31st, 2011, DeFuniak Springs Police responded to a vehicle overturned into a residence, in the area of Bay Avenue and Circle Drive.

Police arrived on scene to fine a white van overturned at the residence of 754 Circle Drive. The Van was found to be unoccupied.

Further investigation lead police to a residence on Bay Avenue where contact was made with Andrew Sisson. Sisson reported that he had left his keys in the vehicle and someone must have taken it.

Police advised Sisson, they had the vehicle and evidence would be collected to identify the driver.

Sisson then recanted his first statement and advised, while driving west on Bay Avenue he encountered a deer causing him to lose control of his vehicle. He also told police after the crash he was scared, so he climbed out of the vehicle and walked home.

Sisson was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
