[ARCHIVED] Anonymous Tip Leads to Arrest of Felon and Search Warrant for Residence

On Thursday, March 08, 2012, Officers with the DeFuniak Springs Police received an anonymous tip that a wanted felon was staying at 56 W. Orange Ave. As officers arrived at the residence, a female subject fled from the officers on foot, running into the residence. Officers secured the residence and detained the occupants. Officers were told that the suspect, Joshua Nobles was in a rear bedroom. Nobles was located and arrested on a felony warrant for Felony Violation of Probation with an original charge for narcotics violations. During the apprehension of Nobles, Officers observed numerous items of drug paraphernalia inside the residence. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Brittany Lewis, who was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers then obtained a search warrant and located additional narcotic paraphernalia and the remains of a methamphetamine lab. The investigation is on-going at this time and additional arrests are expected.
