[ARCHIVED] Little Braves Tour the Police Department

West DeFuniak Elementary School kindergarteners received a preview of Police operations on Friday, October 29th, 2010. Youngsters boarded school buses and arrived at the DeFuniak Springs Police Department for a tour of the facility. The students were taken throughout the building and shown areas such as the Interview Room and 911 Communications Center, where they were advised of how to call for help.

The Little Braves were introduced to Officers and some of the law enforcement equipment that is used to assist citizens, visitors, and businesses in the community. The highlight of the tour was the opportunity for students to get inside a Police Car and activate the lights and siren.

The tour was completed with the kids receiving goody bags of educational coloring books and pencils.
