[ARCHIVED] DEFUNIAK SPRINGS POLICE KICKS OFF 2011 RELAY FOR LIFE

On Saturday November 6th, 2010 the DFSP – CRUZURS, which consist of members from the DeFuniak Springs Police had their first fundraiser to kick off the 2011 Relay For Life.
The DFSP-CRUZURS received an invitation from the Chautauqua Antique Car Committee to participate in their annual car show event. The event was held in the Best Western parking lot off of U.S. Highway 331 South in DeFuniak Springs
With the assistance from DeFuniak Springs Fire Department the CRUZURS were able to serve drinks and hotdogs for donations, raising $237.00, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
“The American Cancer Society has helped many citizens in our great community as well as surrounding communities, therefore we at the Office of the City Marshal will continue to work hard in doing our part in this great event” said City Marshal, Chief Mark A. Weeks, MS
