[ARCHIVED] DEFUNIAK SPRINGS POLICE SCHEDULED TO PARTICIPATE IN TIP-A- COP

On March 21, 2013 members from DeFuniak Springs Police are challenging all law enforcement officers to join them in helping raise monies for this great cause. All proceeds will go to the Special Olympics Florida.

We are asking for Law Enforcement Officers to volunteer for this event. Officer’s will need to arrive (in uniform) at Beef O Brady’s around 1700 hours and stay for at least two (2) hours. If an officer can commit to longer or can only commit to a shorter amount of time that will be fine as well. We are expecting some of our local Olympic Athletes to be on hand and will be contacting multiple media sources for coverage!

To make this event even more successful, Beef O Brady’s has pledged 10% of their sales during this event to Special Olympics Florida. We want to continue our support for Special Olympics Florida and Beef O Brady’s by “packing the house.” Please spread the word of this event and encourage family and friends to visit Beef O Brady’s from 1600 hours until closing on March 21, 2013.

The Walton County leg of the Special Olympics Florida Law Enforcement Torch Run is set for Thursday, March 28, 2013! We will gather at Frank’s Corner, 915 Highway 90 West, DeFuniak Springs, Florida promptly at 0830 hours. After a short photograph session, we will run east on U.S. Highway 90 for approximately 1.5 miles and end on the front lawn of the Walton County Courthouse. We encourage everyone to come out and support this event. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact.
