[ARCHIVED] SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

At approximately 12:57 a.m. on September 20, 2013, members from DeFuniak Springs Police responded to 330 South 18th Street, after receiving information from an anonymous source that the person(s) inside the residence were cooking meth.

When officers arrived on scene the suspicious circumstances revealed by the officers gave them reason to believe that there were criminal acts being performed inside the residence. These circumstances prompted the officers to conduct further investigation into the alleged activity.

During further investigation there were items found in the residence that were consistent with listed chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine. The conclusion of the investigation resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

Casondra L. Churchwell, 24 years of age of Freeport, Florida and Tyner A. Martin, 32 years of age of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Both were transported to the Walton County Department of Corrections.
