[ARCHIVED] POLICE AND PREVENTION COALITION TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING

DeFuniak Springs Police along with the Walton Prevention Coalition will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, May 29th, 2014 from 6PM to 8PM at the Chautauqua Building located at 96 Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs.

Chief Mark Weeks, City Marshal, will be available to address concerns and provide information on issues facing our community.

Guest panelists from the City of DeFuniak Springs, Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Boys and Girls Club, and other Organizations will also be on hand to speak on community issues and prevention of underage alcohol usage.

The Community and media is invited to participate in this grass roots meeting and will be able to ask questions and discuss issues affecting our area. Some topics to be covered are:

• Underage Alcohol Use Prevention
• Issues Affecting our Schools and Kids
• Alligators
• Animal Control
• Black Bears
• Drug Abuse
• Gang Activity
• Security Checks
• Social Media Exploitation
• TIPS Line Reporting
