[ARCHIVED] DEFUNIAK SPRINGS POLICE WISHES SAFE AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING

The weather has been especially cold for this time of year and has caused some hazardous situations. Please be careful when driving to your destination that you watch out for less than favorable road conditions and other motorists in distress. Also remember to drive at a safe speed and buckle-up for safety so that you will arrive alive!

Thanksgiving brings forth family togetherness and for many is the beginning of Christmas shopping. Be mindful of your valuables when leaving your vehicle. The best rule of thumb is to “Hide-it, Take-it, and Lock-it,” referring to hiding your valuables in the trunk or under the seat, taking the key with you, and locking your vehicle doors. These small steps will make you less likely of becoming a victim of a theft.

Chief Mark Weeks and the rest of the members of the DeFuniak Springs Police would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
