On January 21st, 2011 Chief Mark A. Weeks arrived at the First Christian Academy where he spoke to the children about the importance of having their fingerprints easily accessible. Chief Weeks along with help from Sergeant Phillip Austin and Evidence & Property Technician Donna Adams was able to finger print all the children that were in attendance.

CHIEF WEEKS SPEAKS AT ROTARY FORUM

On January 26th, 2011 Chief Weeks attended the Rotary Club Forum, where he was asked to speak on the state of DeFuniak Springs Police. He spoke on the growth of the agency over the last five years and on the challenges that face our community. This included the most recent ones being, Synthetic Marijuana better know on the street as legal marijuana and the Synthetic Cocaine better known as Bath Salts.
