[ARCHIVED] LEE COMPLETES INTERNSHIP

The DeFuniak Springs Police are proud to announce that Christara Rayline Lee successfully completed an internship program in July. Ms. Lee finished the preview program of 80 hours. The internship program is designed for college students who are considering pursuing a career in law enforcement. Ms. Lee was exposed to skills and practices from the law enforcement profession. Chief Mark Weeks commented that law enforcement is more than simply enforcing laws. Police Officers have one main job – to serve and protect. Everything we do falls into our creed. The internship program shows the day-in and day-out aspects of our profession that includes helping those who may not be capable of helping themselves. Ms. Lee was able to see the inner workings of a law enforcement agency. We wish her the best of luck and hope she will want to be a part of this noble profession in the near future.
