Someone else’s car, a motel parking lot, and meth resulted in a female being arrested. It all started when the owner contacted DeFuniak Springs Police Thursday evening to report that his car, who he loaned to a friend, had not been returned. This prompted Officers to look for the vehicle. An Officer making a security check at the Regency Inn located the vehicle. A female matching the description was also observed getting into the driver’s seat. The Officer made contact with 26 year old Victoria Irene Duncan. Duncan was asked about the vehicle and if she had anything that the Officer should know about. Duncan stated she had some “bake” in her purse. A consensual search revealed a bag containing 13 grams of methamphetamine in a cigarette pack along with a hypodermic needle and syringe. Additionally, Duncan had a pill identified to be Dilaudid that she could not provide a prescription for.
Duncan was placed under arrest and taken to the Walton County Jail. She was booked on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The vehicle was returned to its owner. As of this release, Duncan is still in Jail awaiting First Appearance.
